  • My Private Chef presents a Gourmet Trick or Treat Experience at the Andersonville Dessert Crawl

    Sunday, October 26, 2014 - 2:00pm


    On October 26, from 2-5pm, Andersonville will welcome guests to enjoy a sweet stroll through this delightful neighborhood as they participate in the Annual Dessert Crawl. It's a gourmet Trick or Treat experience with delectable desserts at every turn. Participating restaurants are sure to "wow" visitors with delicious and decadent gourmet desserts.

    Chef Chris Tong will be serving a delicious Blood Orange Mousse with Ginger and a Pirouette wafer.

    Look for him on the "Caramel Apple Route" at one of his favorite wine shops, In Fine Spirits, 5418 N. Clark.

    This year, you can choose from TWO great routes. Tickets for one route is $20.00 in advance and $25.00 on the day of the event.

    Participants pick up their Dessert Crawl passport at the Swedish Musuem, 5211 N. Clark Street.

  • Chef Tong presents an enticing Fall menu at Bloomingdale's Home and Furniture Store

    In anticipation of Autumn, Bloomingdale's Home and Furniture Store welcomes Chef Tong to demonstrate the preparation of an exciting menu based on Fall flavors.

    A favorite with Bloomingdale's shoppers, Chef Tong will prepare Butternut Squash, Ricotta and Sage crostini; Pan-seared Duck Breast with Pumpkin Risotto; and Pumpkin Mousse with gingersnaps.

    This free cooking demonstration will take place on Saturday, October 25, from 2-4pm at Bloomingdale's Home and Furniture Store, 600 N. Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL. Demo Kitchen on 1.

The demonstration is on Saturday, September 6 at 10:30am. You will learn how to prepare Chef Tong's deicious recipe and be able to taste it on the spot.  Chef's featured recipe is Kohlrabi and Apple Salad with Caraway.
